ABF Europe
The ABF Europe web site is being developed on behalf of Dreammedia Marketing and as of yet is still in progress but has been made available to visitors at the clients request.
Building the site
Dreammedia Marketing designed the initial site using Macromedia flash but wanted to provide an HTML alternative for those without the flash player installed or with slower internet connection speeds. Redirecting users to the appropriate content based on the browsers flash version installed and connection speed is achieved by using server side script ASP with Browser Hawk.
Photoshop was used to slice and dice the flash pages into the required images for the HTML. The site also involves a large amount of dynamic content by making use of ASP and javascript. We took careful measures to not over rely on javascript and so if turned off in a visitors browser, it doesn't have too great an affect on their browsing.
The site also make very good use of the Goggle maps API to show an interactive map of the company's location. By entering a post code, a visitor can also get directions and times to ABF Europe from their required location.
The latest development to the site now includes versions in French and Spanish with user redirection through server side script ASP and Country Hawk
